We are thrilled to announce that our double edition of Inscape (Volume 39 and 40) was named a Superior magazine in the most recent NCTE Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) contest!
The magazine is judged on a variety of items including literary and artistic quality, diversity literary and artistic genre and voice, graphic design and layout, proofreading and editing, as well as the quality of publication conventions and editorial vision.
In REALM’s words, “The mission of NCTE’s REALM program is to publicly recognize excellent literary magazines produced by students with the support of their teachers. REALM is designed to encourage all schools to develop literary magazines that celebrate the art and craft of writing. Your magazine is a fine example of this mission in action.”
Congratulations to Faculty Advisor, Scott Kelso, and to Elsa Osweiler, BCS’23, Student Editor of both volumes. Congratulations also extend to the Editorial Student Team and to all students who submitted artwork and literary pieces to the magazine.
