The Stoker Prize For Art is given in memory of Shirley Harrison Stoker, KHC ’46, and Chairman of the BCS Board from 1984-1988. This prize, along with the prize for Francais Langue Étrangère are awarded to LiYu T.

The prize for Chemistry and the prize for Français Langue Seconde are awarded to Yiwen Z.

The W.A. “Pop” Page Prize For Music is donated by John and Donald Lawrence, BCS'49, to honour William A. (“Pop”) Page, writing teacher, games coach, exuberant organist and choir director, music and singing director of Gilbert and Sullivan productions, and Preparatory School Headmaster, 1935-1949. Along with The Pierenkemper World History Prize, donated by Roger Pierenkemper (BCS'99) are awarded to Taneli A.

The prize for Social & Cultural Anthropology, the prize for Contemporary World, and the prize for Environmental Systems & Societies are awarded to Andrew T.

The prize for Biology , Francais Langue d'enseignement, Monde Contemporain, and the Howson Prize for English, donated by Teresa and Richard Howson are awarded to Elsa O.

The Old Boys' Prize is awarded to the student obtaining the highest average in Form VII. This year it is awarded to Johanna S.

The Albert Macdonald prize for Mathematics is given to the student in Form VII Calculus, who has most improved their mathematical skills during their time at BCS. It is donated to honour Albert MacDonald and his years of teaching Calculus at BCS. This year it is awarded to Rémi D.

The Stephen and Jonathan Bath Award for Accounting is awarded to Zhengkai L.

The prize for Wolrd Issues is awarded to Yat Long Aaron Y.

The prize for Social & Cultural Anthropology is awarded to Yu Ching L.

The prize for Environmental Systems & Societies is awarded to Laura C.

The prize for Introduction to Environmental Studies is awarded to Molly G.

The R. Lewis Evans Prize For English is named to honour R. Lewis Evans and his 38 years of teaching English at BCS, and the prize for Theory of Knowledge are awarded to Johanna S.

The prize for High Level Business Management and the prize for Français B, Langue Seconde are awarded to Fuchuyan P.

The prize for Computer Science and the prize for Standard Level Business Management are awarded to Martin D.J.M.

The following award is donated by Colonel E.G. and Mrs. Hanson, in memory of Lance Corporal, Gerry Hanson, killed in the Second World War.
The Lance Corporal, Gerry Hanson Prize for Global Politics is awarded for consistent application, steady motivation, and continual high standards and the prize for Français, Langue et Littérature are awarded to Félix G.A.V.

The Robert A. Kenny Prize for Advanced Mathematics is donated by Mrs. R.H. Hyndman in memory of her late husband, Robert A. Kenny, who attended BCS from 1926 to 1935, being Head Prefect in his final year. It is fitting that this prize is given for Seventh Form Mathematics because Robert Kenny himself won a Seventh Form Mathematics Prize, The David Dutton Prize For Physics, donated to honour David Dutton and his years of teaching Physics at BCS, and the prize for Psychology are awarded to Youyang G.

The J. Graham Patriquin Prize for History is named to honour J. Graham Patriquin and his 43 years of teaching History at BCS, the prize for Français, Langue Étrangère, Ab Initio, The Arthur Campbell Prize for Chemistry, donated to honour Arthur Campbell and his 32 years of teaching chemistry at BCS and The Sandra Booth Prize For Biology are all awarded to Kaitlyn B.

The C. Douglas Johnston Prize is awarded to the student for the best collection of poetry. This year it is awarded to Max A.

Bertha Bell Music Awards are in recognition of the long and outstanding service to the school of the late Bertha Bell, organist and music teacher. The award pin was designed by Col. J. Strickland for presentation to senior students who have contributed by maintaining a high standard of personal and public performance over several years. This year they are awarded to Yanheng C., Wenxiang D., Jean-Sébastien D., Boris L., Yunheng L., Yulong W., and Chuqing Z.

The Anthony Awde Trophy for Public Speaking is presented by the Old Boys’ Association in memory of J. Anthony Awde, BCS 1963-68, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident during his first year at McGill University. Tony Awde overcame a speech handicap during his years at BCS and was one of our accomplished public speakers and chapel readers by the time he reached his senior year. He then went on to win the Headmaster’s Prize for Reading in Chapel. This year the trophy is presented to Evan J.

The D.A.G. Cruickshank award is presented to the student who best exemplifies "leadership through service". This year it is awarded to Emma A.

The Ash Quaich Prize is donated by the family of Richard and Christopher Ash, who came to BCS on exchange in 1992 and 1996 respectively. It is awarded to the new student(s) who have made the greatest contribution to school life in their first year at BCS. It is awarded to Béata J.

The Jack Goodson Award was created by the Goodson family and is awarded to the BCS student(s) who drive significant change, make new ideas happen, demonstrate innovation, and are a game-changer. This year it is awarded to Emma A. and Mulan F.

The Riddell Prize For Drama is donated by Michael and Susan Riddell to the student(s) who, in the opinion of the members of the Players Club, have made the greatest contribution to Drama at BCS during the year. This year it is awarded to Emma H. and Laila T.

The Donald Patriquin Award For Choir is presented to the student(s) who has demonstrated a good attitude, dedication, and leadership in the Choir. It is awarded to Evan J.

The St. Martin’s Chapel Award- This award is presented to the student who has made an exemplary contribution with effort and dedication far above and beyond all others to the community of Saint Martin’s Chapel. With our deepest gratitude and appreciation, this year, the St. Martin’s Chapel Award is awarded to Mulan F.

The Head of Wardens for the 2022-2023 year is presented to Emma A.

The Kenneth Hugessen Prize For Creative Writing is founded by the Hon. and Mrs. Adrian Knatchbull Hugessen in memory of their son, Kenneth, BCS, l936-l941. This year’s winner of the Hugessen Prize is Priscilla A.

The Diane Ross Award is donated by Mrs. Judith Ross in memory of her daughter, Diane, a student at BCS from 1982-84. The prize is awarded annually to the student who has excelled in creative writing and has been actively involved in the extra-curricular life of the school. This year awarded to Elsa O.

The Vice-Chairman's Prize is awarded to the boy(s) in Forms II-V who receives three First Class Team Colours and has the highest academic average. It is jointly awarded to Émile C. and Elliott G.

The Chairman's Prize is awarded to the girl(s) in Forms II-V who receives three First Class Team Colours and has the highest academic average. It is awarded to Béata J.
