Photo of the Day

Last but not least

Today is the last day of Winter Carnival, and it is a mental health day.

Different from the previous two days of fun, today’s events are not mandatory and involve activities that are for replenishing our social batteries—and our voices after two days of cheering at the top of our lungs. With the weather reaching lows in the minus '40s today, the Student Life Department made the decision to cancel the few optional outdoor activities that were planned for the day.

To keep warm, Mr. Crowther and Ms. Harkness hosted a crafts, cookies, and puzzles event in the library. Movies also streamed all day in the Student Centre. The Carnival Committee stationed themselves in Doolittles all afternoon to serve cotton candy, snow cones, and popcorn.

With only a few hours left of Winter Carnival, we wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to our Carnival Committee and Student Life Department for organizing another successful carnival. These past three days have uplifted our spirits and strengthened our sense of belonging. Finally, congratulations to all our award recipients. Parents—look out for the list of award winners and all photos from this week’s festivities next week!
