Our Form III and Form IV math wizards are working with Mrs. Sanchez McMillan as a part of a new enrichment program to work with students who excel in mathematics.
"I meet them on a regular basis during their math periods to go beyond what is mandated, to work on problem solving skills and strategies and, in general, to have math-fun," shared Mrs. Sanchez McMillan. "They have to be in excellent academic standing, as they miss math class time to join the enrichment activities, but they are so strong that they can easily catch up."
The goal of the program is to give students a challenge to prepare them for higher level IB mathematics classes in the future. This week students entered the Canada Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC). We can't wait to see how they do!
