Special cadet presentation
Two weeks ago, we were thrilled to welcome back Sky Willer, BCS’24, to Moulton Hill for a special recognition. Major Simon Minaki who is J4 at Regional HQ (Logistics), presented Sky with the prestigious Commander of Cadet and Junior Rangers of Canada Group Commendation (Brigadier-General Dominique Brais, CD). During the ceremony, Cadet Lieutenant Simon, Form VII student and a close friend of Sky, highlighted his impressive accomplishments during his time at BCS and in the year following his graduation.
Hockey all-stars
The 16U/Prep Hockey Team are the 2024 Selwyn House Hockey Tournament Champions! Congratulations to Nate, Form VI, who was named tournament MVP, and the entire team and coaches for another victory!
Anxiety toolkits
As part of their exploration of the theme of performance, Mme Gauthier’s Form VI students tackled the topic of performance anxiety in their final project. They created unique "toolboxes" designed to reflect performance anxiety, complete with fact sheets outlining its definition, symptoms, causes, consequences, stress management techniques, and resources. A creative and thoughtful approach to understanding this important issue!
Community in action
The Positive Change Committee (PCC) has kicked off their annual Winter Warm-Up fundraiser! They’re inviting the BCS community to lend a hand by donating mittens, hats, jackets, gloves, snow pants, and boots to support our local community.
This year, the PCC is also collecting donations and gifts for the Cornerstone Food Bank, helping to brighten the holidays for local families in need.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already contributed and to the dedicated advisors, Ms. Lowry and Mr. McCormick, for championing this cause. Together, let’s make a difference!
Holiday Concert
This past Saturday, Centennial Theatre came alive with the sounds of the season during our annual Holiday Concert! The evening featured incredible performances by our two bands and the choir, with a special guest appearance by the BCS Players' Club. To top it all off, our Head of School surprised the audience with a memorable performance!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize this spectacular event and to all the talented performers who made it unforgettable. Look out for photos coming soon!
