Moulton Hill Moments Oct. 19-Oct. 25

This past week, Moulton Hill celebrated Wellness Week, a dedicated time for our community to relax, connect, and recharge. Organized by our School Counsellor, Darby Drew, with support from our School Nurse, Megane Prince; our Athletic Therapist and Physiotherapist, Kate Macdonald and Evelyne Lapierre-Leonard; our Activities Coordinator, Georgia Barratt-Lamey; Associate Director of Student Life, Julie Lowry; and Faculty Supervisor for the Positive Change Committee, Kieran McCormick—along with the Positive Change Committee and many others—this week was filled with engaging activities promoting self-care, reflection, and community. Here’s a look at all that happened:

Monday, October 21
The week kicked off with art therapy sessions and treat-making to get everyone in a creative and positive mindset. In the evening, students enjoyed a relaxing spa night and unwound with yoga sessions.

Tuesday, October 22
We hosted a Wellness Fair with interactive stations focusing on mental and physical health, offering students resources and ideas to support their wellness journey.

Wednesday, October 23
As part of Take Me Outside Day, several classes were held outdoors, giving students a chance to enjoy the fresh air and a change of scenery. Adding to the spirit, students dressed down for Twin Day, celebrating friendship and unity across campus. A huge thank you to our Physics Teacher and Adventure Training Coach, Barbara Rowell, for organizing another fantastic TMO Day, complete with perfect weather!

Thursday, October 24
On Thursday, students participated in trust activities and took time to write gratitude notes to each other, building bonds and sharing positive messages.

Friday, October 25
Students enjoyed a relaxed start to the day with a sleep-in as classes began at 9:40 AM, and a shorter Flex Day schedule with classes ending at 12:25 PM. In the afternoon, everyone contributed to a Gratitude Wall and wrote letters expressing thanks to friends and family. To close out the week, we gathered around a bonfire with marshmallows—the perfect end to a meaningful Wellness Week.

A huge thank you to Darby for organizing this impactful event and all the dedicated individuals and committees that made this week possible. For parents who would like more details, Darby joined the Fridays from Moulton Hill parent call this morning to recap the week and answer questions. A recording of this call is available on the BCS portal.

Be on the lookout for an email from Darby requesting feedback to help make our next Wellness Week, scheduled for February, even better. We’re eager to hear what our community enjoyed most and any ideas for future events!
