Teaching & Learning
The very essence of BCS is the strength of our rigorous academic program that empowers students to think independently, critically, and creatively.
Bishop’s College School offers a Grade 7–12 university preparatory education. Students who successfully complete the required coursework, graduation criteria, and provincial examinations earn the New Brunswick Secondary School Diploma (NBSSD), issued by the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, at the end of Form VII (Grade 12).
Students who successfully meet the Quebec Ministry of Education requirements, including the required credits and examinations, may also earn the Quebec Secondary School Diploma (QSSD/DES), issued by the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec, at the end of Form VI (Grade 11).
As a proud IB World School, eligible students may also pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which includes specific academic, examination, assessment, and program requirements established by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).

Curriculum Pathways
Students entering Forms II-V (Grades 7-10) are part of our Middle School whereas students in Forms VI-VII (Grades 11-12) belong to our Senior School.
International Baccalaureate
BCS is proud to be an IB World School offering the IB Diploma Programme as well as course certificates for students in Forms VI-VII (Grades 11-12).

The University Advising Department works closely with students and their families throughout their time at BCS to support and guide each step of the university admissions process.
