Students for whom English is not their first language receive dedicated support through our ESL program for Forms II – V (Grades 7 – 10). A well-appointed ESL centre provides a welcoming environment for students to improve their English proficiency and work towards integration into the regular English program. As part of the admissions process, students can submit the results of their TOEFL exams if they have written them, or alternatively, they can write the BCS entrance test for ESL. Each student's level of English is evaluated and they are subsequently placed in either ESL or English, with the goal of promoting them when they have achieved the level necessary for independent study in our regular English program.
Furthermore, students can benefit from our ESL+ program which allows them to receive extra ESL classes on a daily basis. ESL+ is recommended for students who are at the beginner to intermediate levels in terms of English proficiency.
