Recognizing Artistic Excellence
We are proud to recognize our students' achievements throughout the year and through a variety of different ways.
Our students regularly receive effort ratings for their participation in band, choir, visual arts, and the BCS Players' Club. Our band and choir regularly perform throughout the school year and the BCS Players' Club prepares two plays per year. Our English Department organizes speech competitions and our students have the opportunity to compete locally and against other schools. Lastly, our Visual Arts teacher organizes an exhibition of our students' artwork for the community to enjoy at the end of each term.
At the end of the year we present our major artistic awards during our Awards Assembly. Scroll down to read more about the many ways that we recognize our students' achievements and our list of major awards.
I am so pleased to see music flourishing at BCS—as are all the arts. It's as great a school as when I was there 60 years ago, and from what I've seen recently, is continuing wonderful traditions of excellence both in and out of the classroom. Bravo; play on!
