Work on stage, develop your acting skills, and portray authentic characters. Write and perform monologues, short plays, and film scripts. Build sets and props. Create film and media projects. There's something for anyone with an interest in theatre and film!

The BCS Players’ Club has a long, impressive and eclectic history at the school, with productions spanning from "The Pirates of Penzance" to "Turandot," from William Shakespeare to Tom Stoppard, and from "The Miracle Worker" to "Little Shop of Horrors." Every year the club stages a dramatic performance where students have the opportunity to perform, design wardrobe, work on set construction, and participate in promotion. The BCS Players’ Club works with our Drama Teacher to put on one of the best and most anticipated annual events at BCS.

Without Ms. McGie, I wouldn’t have been able to get into the Theatre, Drama, and Performance Program at the University of Toronto (which only accepts 20 people). She pushed me and made me a better theatre person, and most importantly, a better leader and a better learner. She has paved the path for the career that I would like to pursue and I can never thank her enough for that.

Presenting... the BCS Players' Club

Theatre, without a doubt has had the biggest impact on me. I joined the BCS Players’ Club on a whim after a friend said they needed help backstage. Ever since then I have worked on, acted in, and/or stage managed 11 productions. Working with Ms. McGie has taught me so many things, and I will greatly miss working alongside her next year. Having been a part of all the theatre productions at BCS is definitely one of my favourite memories,
and something I will never forget.
