Athletic Facilities
Whether you're an elite athlete or a beginner, our facilities provide the perfect setting to develop and hone your athletic skills.
BCS athletic facilities include an on-campus indoor hockey rink, two full-size basketball courts, a 40-foot climbing wall, three international squash courts, and a newly-renovated fitness centre.
Outdoor facilities include six sports fields, three new tennis courts, an outdoor volleyball court, and several kilometres of wooded cross-country trails. A university swimming pool and the local golf course are within walking distance of BCS.
Our many facilities enable our students to partake in many different activities such as hockey, volleyball, yoga, ultimate frisbee, weight training, soccer, rugby, and much more!
Every moment was special while I was on the basketball team and soccer team. It was incredible beating a team like Ashbury at CAIS and winning MVP that year in Form VI. It was also a dream come true going all the way to division II CAIS finals and winning the league playoffs on our last game ever played for the Senior Boys Soccer team.

On-Campus Facilities
H. Weir-Davis Memorial Gymnasium
Memorial Gym features two full-size basketball courts, a 40 foot rock-climbing wall, and plenty of space for fans to cheer on the BCS Bears.
Memorial Arena
Our elite hockey teams practice and play on Memorial Arena—one of the oldest covered ice rinks in Canada. Our Senior Team, IHA, and PE classes all use the rink and we offer free skate for students and families during lunch and on the weekend.
Hiles Family Fitness Centre
Our cardio/aerobic space features treadmills, spin bikes, rowing machines, and two Bluetooth-enabled televisions. Our weight room houses our vast selection of free weights, strength-training equipment, and a TRX machine.
Climbing Wall
The H. Weir Memorial Gymnasium is home to a 40-foot climbing wall. Our rock-climbing crease makes use of it during the fall and spring crease as well as during special events like Homecoming or Carnival.
Forest Trails
Wooded trails can be found throughout the campus and are perfect for cross-country running in the fall, snowshoeing in the winter, and mountain-biking in the spring.
Playing Fields
Moulton Hill boasts six outdoor sports fields: Grant Field, Junior Field, Senior Field, School House Field, Upper Gillard Field, and Lower Gillard Field.
Tennis Court Complex
Located adjacent to our athletic facilities, our Tennis Court Complex features three high-end hard-surfaced outdoor tennis courts surrounded by one exterior fence.
BCS Foundation Squash Courts
Our squash crease and community members are able to use our three modern squash courts located in their own building near the Business Office.
Volleyball Court
While our volleyball crease makes use of our indoor volleyball courts in the H. Weir Memorial Gymnasium during the winter, we also have a beach volleyball court which is popular in the warmer months during block parties and for our annual Student vs. Staff Tournament.
Off-Campus Facilities
Horseback Riding
Our students work with certified instructors through Écurie Royale in North Hatley, a neighbouring town 15 minutes from campus. When not in North Hatley, our students engage with the horses at Mrs. Lévesque's home stable right up the road.
Indoor Pool at Bishop's University
Newly renovated in 2022, the Bishop's University indoor pool features six 25m lanes, two water slides, and a diving board.
Jane & Eric Molson Arena
Our elite hockey teams regularly compete at Jane & Eric Molson Arena located in the Bishop's University John H. Price Sports & Recreation Centre. This state-of-the-art NHL-sized rink features seating for 800 fans and a VIP lounge.
Lennoxville Curling Club
Our curling crease is lucky to have access to the Lennoxville Curling Club located at just a short five-minute drive from Moulton Hill. During the winter our curlers practice and compete at the Lennoxville Curling Club.
Mountains
The Eastern Townships are home to some of the top rated ski resorts in Quebec and our ski and snowboarding crease regularly makes outings to Mont-Orford, Mont Sutton, Owl's Head, and Bromont during the winter months. These hills also provide fantastic hiking venues once the snow melts.
Old Lennoxville Golf & Ski
Located a mere five-minute drive from campus, our golf crease practices their swing the Old Lennoxville Golf & Ski—one of Canada's oldest nine-hole golf courses.
