Adventure Training is offered in the fall term to students who are seeking challenge and excitement, and who enjoy the outdoors and wilderness. Students learn a variety of valuable outdoor skills in a team environment. Core activities include building shelters, tying knots, cooking, hiking, fire building, wilderness safety and first aid, orienteering, trip planning, and more.
Students train together five days per week, with many of these sessions taking place on the trails and property of our beautiful 250-acre campus. The Adventure Training group will also venture off campus in the fall for hiking expeditions in the Eastern Townships, which is one of the most breathtaking times of the year to hike and climb this region.
Finally, the team will organize a two-night camping trip at Mont Orford National Park, complete with a budget and meal plan, hiking routes, and group activities.
