Students of all levels are welcome to participate, as the riding lessons are tailored to the students’ abilities. Students work with certified instructors through Écurie Royale
in North Hatley, a neighbouring town 15 minutes from our campus. Beginners learn to groom and tack up, as well as basic positions on the horse, while experienced students focus on ground work: walking, trotting, and cross-country jumping.
When not in North Hatley, students engage with the horses at Mrs. Lévesque’s home stable. This furthers their learning experience and gives them additional time to focus on groundwork. Here they work on basic skills such as cleaning, checking the fence and learning about the horse's anatomy. This crease is only competitive if the skill level of the riders allows it to be; otherwise, it is an excellent opportunity for students to develop and enrich their knowledge of riding and their experience with horses.
