Prep Girls' Basketball Program

BCS Prep Girls’ Basketball program offers student-athletes the opportunity to pursue basketball at the highest level alongside a traditional boarding school education.

Comprised of 18U and 16U teams, the program emphasizes the development of well-rounded student-athletes through experienced leadership, individualized basketball training, and a competitive game schedule.

Student-athletes compete in respected leagues, showcases, and tournaments across Canada and the United States. Our 18U team competes primarily in the Womens National Preparatory Association (WNPA), against members of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). Our 16U team competes in the North Pole Hoops (NPH) Showcase League and in various showcase tournaments, including the CAIS Canadian Accredited Independent Schools National Tournament.

Supported by a dedicated team of performance, academic, and student life professionals, the program provides a comprehensive pathway for athletes aspiring to compete at the next level, while ensuring development in skills, strength and conditioning, and game intelligence through video breakdown.

While pursuing basketball, student-athletes in the program are expected to demonstrate excellent standing in the classroom as well as leadership and engagement within the wider BCS community.

Program Goals

  • Integrate basketball, academics, and leadership in a traditional boarding school environment.

  • Develop the student-athlete through focus-based training, transformative coaching, and maximizing the program’s available resources.

  • Provide a world-class high school interscholastic basketball experience and prepare student-athletes for the next level of NCAA & U SPORT basketball.
