BCS is proud of its long-standing hockey tradition. The campus is home to Memorial Arena, one of the oldest covered rinks in Canada, allowing students to fulfill their passion for hockey while maximizing their academic potential.
We currently offer three tiers, ranging from beginner to elite with schedules and workloads that vary accordingly. For those students who have never played hockey but would like to try this cherished North American pastime, the Intramural Team (IHA) holds skills-based practices weekly and also plays inter-squad games.
The Senior team plays in the ETIAC local league. With practices four to five times a week and a schedule of approximately 20 games, this tier is for those intermediate players with some experience who are looking to refine their skills and work towards the next level.
Following several strong seasons, our elite program continues to grow. Comprised of two age groups, U18/Varsity and U16/Prep, the program emphasizes the development of a well-rounded player through highly qualified and experienced coaching. These two teams are members of prestigious North American prep school hockey leagues.
