A helping hand
When we are struggling, realizing we need help is the biggest step in the right direction. The next step is reaching out.
Our community's well-being is our number one priority, and we have many great mental health and wellness resources right here on campus. Our School Counsellor, Marie-Noëlle Gattuso, is available to all our students and employees and he is happy to provide information and materials on taking care of your mental health and ideas on practising intuitive self-care. Our Head Nurse, Andrée Brodeur, is available 24/7 while school is in session and is always available without an appointment from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM at the Infirmary if you are feeling unwell.
Regular exercise can have a positive impact on your mental health and our Athletics Team is always on hand to offer support. Our Strength & Conditioning Coach, Josh Bray, shares daily workouts on his Instagram and will gladly answer any fitness-related questions. Our Physiotherapy Team (Katelyn MacDonald, Physiotherapist, and Évelyne Lapierre-Léonard, Athletic Therapist) have great resources on rest and recovery.
Along with the above-mentioned staff, our entire community is always here to listen and help. Head to the BCS Safe App for more resources and check out these organizations that provide free or low-cost, virtual mental health supports for Canadians, including Wellness Together Canada, CMHA, and Kids Help Phone.
Remember, we're all in this together and we will get through it together.
