All sorts of fun
Our Ondaatje Endeavour group is one month away from their excursion, and they need your support one last time.
Thanks to the help from our community and local parents, the crew's last can and bottle collection fundraiser raised a whopping total of $320.20. The Ondaatje group spent hours sorting out the cans and bottles during the end of the semester to collect the recycling funds for their hard-earned work. With the trip approaching, our coordinators, Ms. Lamb and Ms. Rowell, organized the third and final fundraiser with the same eco-conscious theme in mind.
Throughout the month of July, you can buy eco-friendly products from TruEarth, including environmentally friendly laundry strips, food wrappers, soap, and more. By using this link, 20% of the total sales value will go directly towards funding the group's Magpie River trip. A few of the products were tried out by Ms. Lamb. "I use the TruEarth laundry strips and they work very well… unless I have dirty clothes and nobody has mentioned it," she quipped. Jokes aside, the entire group is eager to leave for their expedition. "All is going well in the trip preparation," explained Ms. Rowell. "We had a packing training at the end of school and met one of our guides, Yann."
Send an email to Ms. Lamb or Ms. Rowell if you have any questions about the last fundraiser or the trip. Let's help our Ondaatje Endeavour group raise some last funds AND take another step in becoming more environmentally friendly this summer!
