Archeology rocks

Our Form II students dug up old pottery in class today, with some pieces dating back to the 12th century.

OK... so our students may not have physically dug up the pottery inspected in class today, but they did observe and study the artifacts like true archeologists! Thank you to Mr. White, our students were able to examine these real artifacts from the ancient Thai capital of Sukhothai. As the pieces were picked up and investigated, Mr. White invited students to theorize about the purpose of the fragments and hypothesize about what they might reveal about the city in which they were found.

At a school with over 183 years of history, we have no doubt that these young historians will have plenty more stories to uncover!
