Bears around the world

In the past month, a few of our Bears competed in major sports competitions outside of their BCS commitments.

Oliver, Form VI, competed in the 2022 Cross-Country Canadian National Championships & US SuperTour Finals in March. "The races went well despite having numerous falls and broken ski poles, but I toughed it out in the rain and finished strong," said Oliver. Even though the race didn't go as well as he had hoped, he was thrilled to qualify for the Quebec Development team.

In April, Jaeseok, Form VI, took home gold with his team at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group A tournament. His BCS Varsity Hockey teammates were proud to root for him from campus while he was away.

Jo, Form VI, competed with her U18 team Thor in the Taipei Hockey Cup during March Break and won second place. She started playing for the Taiwan national team in September of 2021 and is looking forward to competing again later this year for the first division group B in the IIHF against Austria, Korea, China, Poland, and Denmark.

Help us in celebrating these great achievements with our Bears!
