Booked
Today in Form IV French class, Dre Bélanger invited Léonie, co-owner of Librairie Les Deux Sœurs, to give a presentation to students. Librairie Les Deux Sœurs is a local independent bookstore that is known for specializing in youth, diverse (Indigenous, Queer, Black, migrant, women, LGBTQ+, etc.), and Quebec literature.
During the first part of the presentation, Léonie talked about the book chain and how books go from the editor to the distributor, then to the bookseller, and finally to the reader. Afterwards, she shared some recommended books with the class. To our students' delight, our library had already purchased some of the books from Librairie Les Deux Sœurs for a project the class will be working on next week!
