Build it, watch it, do it
Ms. Rowell's Form VII IB Physics class is working on their final projects. The project is divided into three parts: 'build (code) it,' 'watch it,' and 'do it.'
During the first part of the project, students had to build and program an optical theremin, audio visualizer, mood lamp, or create Python code. With the goal of answering the question 'will the science be sound,' part two was all about watching a scientific movie or TV show and examining the science behind it to state whether it was accurate.
Today, the class worked on part three: 'do it.' In this section, students had to pick a small appliance and take it apart. Each piece was photographed and examined carefully to explain what it does and how it works.
