Flag day

Happy National Flag of Canada Day!

Monday, the fifteenth of February, 1965, saw the official debut of Canada's own flag. During chapel this morning, we welcomed Mr. François de Sainte Marie, BCS'65, who recalled the events from that day when BCS conducted its own ceremony in accordance with celebrations carried on across the country. Mr. de Sainte Marie was in Form VI at the time and was playing the bugle as fellow students Thomas "Tam" R. M. Davis, BCS'65, and Stuart "Kip" Cobbett, BCS'66, raised the flag.

Today, we are proud to display this flag (the second official flag ever made!) at the entrance of St. Martin’s Chapel.
