Interactive reading

On Monday, Dre Bélanger’s Form II French class read the book C'est quoi un réfugié ? (What Is a Refugee?) by Elise Gravel. This book served as an introduction for developing empathy through reading.

The class is currently learning about the lives of refugees, including Malala Yousafzai and Anne Frank, and their tragic but inspiring journeys. This week, they are starting a research paper on a person of their choice, whether famous or not, who has had an inspiring journey. Each student will present their research to the class in the upcoming weeks.

To conclude the unit, students will be visiting the Montreal Holocaust Museum.
