Jeepers Creepers, where'd you get those peepers?
Students in Ms. Lamb's Form IV Science and Technology class performed a cow eyeball dissection this past Friday.
As a part of their unit on Waves and the Auditory and Ocular Systems, our students in Form IV Science & Technology have been learning all about the structure of the human eye. On Friday, Ms. Lamb organized a dissection to give her students a better understanding of the structure and function of these sensory organs. Our GPP students joined in the action online, following along as lab partners Nassim and Elliot dissected their cow eyeball on camera. "Cow eyeballs are similar to the eyes of all mammals, including humans," Ms. Lamb explained. "The goal of the lesson was to examine and understand the parts of the eye while having fun and getting them excited about science." After inspecting the external and internal structure of the organs of sight, the students completed a worksheet to record their findings and test their knowledge.
We can't wait to see what lab Ms. Lamb organizes next!
