Over the past two weeks, all nine prefects have given their heart-felt end-of-year speeches during chapel.

Each year, prefects recap their time at BCS in a short essay that is read aloud in chapel—a beloved age-old tradition. This year, Max, Kaitlyn, Martin, Gavin, Saroni, Alexia, Yasmin, Sacha, and Aaron poured their hearts out with their speeches. Many thanks were given to teachers, houseparents, and friends, with special well wishes to Mr. Tessier, our Director of Student Life, who has guided our prefects for years here at BCS. With graduation only five days away, the gratitude and excitement was felt in every pew of St. Martin's Chapel.

At BCS, our enduring values guide all actions and decision-making. As one of our five values states, we define and develop leadership with the character traits of empathy, integrity, respect, and broad mindedness. From the social media takeover leading up to Opening Week, to the hilarious fundraisers, to the moving last speeches in chapel, we saw the growth guided by these values in each of them.
