A wheel difference

James Andrews, BCS'11, is back at it again this year raising money for a good cause.

James, the current co-chair of The Friends of BCS Rugby, started training for the Trimemphré Magog back in November 2020 shortly after completing his first triathlon where he raised over $1,700 for the Cancer Research Society of Montreal. This year he is excited to be competing in the Trimemphré Magog while supporting and raising awareness for cancer research. "Cancer continues to affect a great many people, and this is not only a tribute to those who lost the fight but those who are fighting and who have fought."

His path towards triathlons started with the support of Athletics Director, Mr. Jeff Bray. "He's helped to create a long and enduring culture of sports and competitiveness at BCS," explained James. Mr. Bray was moved to see his former athlete setting out with big goals and helping others along the way.

For anyone who wants to donate towards the Cancer Research Society, James has set up a GoFundMe page where you can also track his progress. Help us wish James the best of luck for August 21—'tri' your best!
