Mois de la Francophonie
March is Francophonie Month and, for the occasion, students and staff were invited to speak French during our morning assemblies this week. Encouraged by their French teachers, students gave presentations on two French-speaking countries (Lebanon and Luxembourg). With International Women’s Day coming up, three students also read aloud a speech (shortened and adapted) that was originally delivered by Pauline Michel, Quebec author, at the National Assembly in 2005 for the occasion. In addition, Mme Simard also collected French song recommendations to play as students entered and exited Chapel.
