Moulton Hill Moments: Oct. 5-11
As the leaves continue to change and fall settles in, Moulton Hill has been buzzing with excitement and community spirit. Here’s a look at what’s been happening on and around campus this past week:
Hockey Weekend Success
It was a big weekend for our hockey program! The Prep team showed their grit and determination in their first set of games for the season, finishing the weekend with a 2-1 record. It was great to see their hard work pay off, and they are eager for more action in the coming weeks.
The Varsity team had their second weekend of games and walked away with a 3-0 record! The team is really coming together, with stellar performances across the board, including impressive goalie work. The weekend was a great bonding opportunity for both Prep and Varsity as they shared the ice and built camaraderie. We’re all looking forward to seeing how the season unfolds!
Homecoming Festivities
This year’s Homecoming was a heartwarming event, with alumni from various years returning to campus to reconnect and relive their school days. The highlight of the event was the annual Senior Soccer vs Alumni Game. While the alumni may have claimed victory, we’ve conveniently ‘forgotten’ the score! It was all in good fun, and we loved seeing the energy and enthusiasm from everyone involved.
Adventure Training Crease
Our Adventure Training Crease took to the trails this week with a hike to Orford. The group enjoyed the beautiful fall scenery, some fresh air, and great company. The hike was a refreshing way to unwind from the busy academic schedule.
Inter-House Cross Country Race
Despite the chilly weather, the spirit was alive and well during our annual inter-house cross country race. Houses competed fiercely for glory and bragging rights, and we’ll be announcing the winners next Friday at our awards ceremony. It was great to see everyone push themselves to the limit while supporting their house teams.
Governor General’s Award
A huge congratulations to Victoria H., Form VII, who was awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Award for academic excellence from her time in Form VI last year! Victoria received the Bronze Medal, given to the student with the highest average upon graduating Form VI. We’re incredibly proud of her hard work and achievement.
Thanksgiving Break
As we head into Thanksgiving, we want to wish all our students, faculty, and families a restful and happy break. Whether you’re staying on campus or heading home to spend time with loved ones, we hope you enjoy this well-deserved pause. For those staying on campus, we’ve got some exciting activities lined up to celebrate the holiday together!
It’s been another memorable week here at Moulton Hill. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
