Nerd up! Geek out! Dork this!

The Comic Con Committee, led by our 'friendly neighbourhood librarian' Mr. Crowther, planned an epic day of activities, including guest speakers, a costume contest, an art showcase, video game stations, a comic book booth, and a trivia night.

This morning a few of our lucky classes were visited by Canadian comic book creator Mr. Greg Hyland and the artist Mr. James Duncan. At lunch, our costumed community members headed to the library for a cosplay parade and contest. Following the parade, the library transformed into Comic Con central with students showcasing their art at our Artist's Pavilion, video game tournaments, a comic book booth, a henna station, and a D&D centre. Tonight, our community will put their knowledge to the test during our pop culture-themed trivia night in the Student Centre.

Huge thank you to the Comic Con Committee, artists, helpers, and contributors and everyone who dressed up for the occasion. A big nerdy, geeky, and dorky shout-out to our chief nerd, Mr. Crowther, for organizing the event. If you haven't already, make sure to head to our stories to see the event from Mr. Crowther's point of view and stay tuned next week when we announce the winners of the costume contest.
