Nothing adventured, nothing gained

During the month of May, we are highlighting the two pillars of Environment and Adventure from the Round Square IDEALS.

Round Square is an international program that is based on six pillars known as IDEALS—an acronym for InternationalismDemocracyEnvironmentAdventureLeadership, and Service. Last month, Our Round Square Committee presented their first postcard that featured the pillars of Internationalism and Democracy.

At BCS, the themes of Environment and Adventure are highlighted often through our extracurricular activities. The biggest opportunity for Adventure for our students is the Ondaatje Endeavour. This trip challenges our students to reach their full potential through activities they would not usually do. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in the Adventure Training crease. This crease is held every fall and winter term for any of our students who want to experience the outdoors and test their adventure and survival skills. One of the many ways the theme of Environment is shown on our campus is through our annual tree planting ceremony which happens every June as a tribute to our graduating class.

Keep an eye out for next month's postcard highlighting the pillars of Leadership and Service and check out this month's digital postcard below:
