Today is World Book Day, so it is only fitting to introduce this year’s Battle of the Books team! Last week, our five delegates made their way to Bialik High School to compete against other QAIS schools. At this event, they tested their knowledge on the twelve novels that were assigned to them earlier in the school year. In the first round, our team came in third place. Congratulations, Luyan “Rachel” W., Juliet M-F., Arabella M-F., Aurélie M-H, and Mateo A.!

Here are the novels they have read in preparation for the competition:

  • Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

  • Blood Like Magic by Liselle Sambury

  • Cruel Prince by Holly Black

  • Almost American Girl by Robin Ha

  • I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys

  • A Snake Falls to Earth by Darcie Little Badger

  • Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

  • Me (Moth) by Amber McBride

  • Pumpkin by Julie Murphy

  • Linked by Gordon Korman

  • The Love Match by Priyanka Taslim

  • The Getaway by Lamar Giles
