One Final Walk Together on Moulton Hill

One Final Walk Together on Moulton Hill

Last Friday, the BCS community came together for one of our favourite year-end traditions: the Round Square Walk. Students gathered at the flagpole before setting off on a four-km walk to Atto Beaver Park.

What is the Round Square Walk About?

At BCS, traditions like these play an important role in strengthening our sense of community. Each September, students begin the year with Mountain Day, followed by the Terry Fox Run/Walk — experiences that encourage teamwork, resilience, and belonging. The Round Square Walk serves as the final chapter of that journey: a moment for the school community to come together one last time before the end of the year and recognize how much we have grown alongside one another.

More than simply a walk, the event reflects some of the values at the heart of Round Square: community and personal growth. Whether students spent the year trying something new, building friendships across grades, participating in clubs and athletics or stepping outside of their comfort zones, the walk reminded us that these shared experiences are what make the BCS community so special.

More about Round Square

As part of the Fridays From Moulton Hill series, we recently sat down with Round Square Coordinator Shelley Gardner-Bray to discuss what Round Square means at BCS and how it shapes student experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
