Outstanding work

Each year our students can earn Duke of Edinburgh hours through leadership and volunteering opportunities.

The BCS tradition of recognizing the accomplishments of our students toward the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award levels dates back to 2007 when the program was first introduced. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award helps develop character, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and responsibility; and the awards are recognized by universities and employers. Although this year volunteer opportunities were more limited, 14 of our driven students took on the challenge nonetheless and were recognized in June with the meaningful award. We are so proud of our students—help us congratulate our 2020-2021 recipients below!

Looking for more information? Reach out to our Duke of Ed leaders, Assistant to the Head of School, Sheila Lyster, Associate Head of School for Student Life, François Tessier, and visit the official website: dukeofed.org to find out how YOU can get involved this fall!
