Paperwork
Mrs. McGie’s Form III Drama class had a blast making brown paper puppets and learning about puppeteering this morning.
Working in teams, students twisted and taped rolls of paper to create their puppets. They then worked together to manipulate their paper person to create the illusion of life. Puppets are a great way to learn the fundamentals of drama while being creative and having fun. Check out today’s Moment of the Day to watch Atlas, David, Eytan, and Henry make their puppet dance.
On January 18, Form III students will attend an all-day Marionette workshop at Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur in Upton, Quebec. They will be introduced to professional animators who are puppeteers that work on marionette play productions. Additionally, they will work in teams to create their own mini production!
