At the beginning of June, our Pride Alliance organized a dress down day to raise funds for Gris Estrie to raise awareness for Pride Month. Gris Estrie is a local non-profit organization that educates people about sexual orientations and gender identities. Throughout the year, the Pride Alliance advocates for LGBT+ people, raises funds, presents in chapel, and organizes events such as Pride Day.

The Pride Alliance started in 2013 under the supervision of Mr. Scott Kelso, Ross Houseparent and English teacher. "The group (comprised mostly of students, but also open to faculty and staff) works to raise our collective consciousness about issues surrounding gender equality, identity, and expression; sexual orientation; healthy relationships; and much more," explains Mr. Kelso. "We aim to create a space for safe, supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental discussion that promotes a positive school environment for all members of our community." The club is on course to start back in September and all are welcome to join!
