Put a pin on it

During this Monday’s chapel, Abby A., Form V, and David W., Form IV, proudly received their Silver and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh pins.

Students in Form IV and higher can participate in the renowned Duke of Edinburgh’s Award program, spanning over 100 countries. Engaging in a diverse array of activities and volunteer work, students accumulate hours towards achieving Gold, Silver, or Bronze awards.

Dubbed 'Duke of Ed' at BCS, this program fosters character, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and responsibility. Notably, these awards carry weight with universities and employers.

Earlier this year, we celebrated Mylea A.(bronze), Yutong Z. (bronze), and Luyan Z. (silver). Join us in congratulating Abby and David on their remarkable achievements.

Curious to learn more about the program? Visit the Duke of Edinburgh website or see Mrs. Sheila Lyster for more information!
