Raise the woof
Our dog-sledders met with Mr. François de Sainte Marie, BCS’65, today after class to start preparing for their trip in two weeks.
Mr. de Sainte Marie showed the 32 adventurers the proper winter gear to bring for the trip, including items such as a warm tuque with ear flaps (as seen in the photo). After viewing clips and pictures from the last dogsledding trip in 2019, the group is already eager to depart and make their own memories that will last a lifetime.
During the trip, students will learn how to work with the dog teams and drive their own sled, as well as build an igloo, ice fish, snowshoe, horseback ride, and skate, all while acquiring key winter survival skills. Shoutout to the Student Life Department and Mr. de Sainte Marie for organizing this opportunity for our students.
Pssst...Parents—check your inboxes for an email communication about the February Break that went out this afternoon.
