Remember
We held our annual Remembrance Day Service this past Friday before our community left for November Break.
This memorable service is held each year to honour the lives of all those who fought to protect our freedoms. The ceremony started with our choir singing "In Flanders Fields" accompanied by Mulan on the piano, followed by the entrance of the colour party. Band members performed "O Canada" and our prefects read stories of the former students during war times. Tears could be seen across the pews as our prefects read the names of each BCS community member who fell in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War. As each name on the list was read out loud, a student sat down—the end revealing the scope of lives lost to those wars. The service ended with Edward playing a beautiful rendition of "Amazing Grace" on violin as the colour party marched off and students exited the chapel in silence.
Lest we forget.
