Return of the Review
Our 159th Annual Cadet Review has concluded!
The slight rain did not dampen the display, nor the spirit of the family, friends, and alumni from across the decades who showed up in full force to celebrate and support our corps. For those who couldn't attend in person, hopefully, you were able to follow along live on our stories as we shared the impressive pomp and circumstance that is the review.
As Reviewing Officer Col. (H) David W. Rothschild stated, we are the oldest continuous serving cadet corps in Canada, dating back to 1861. Every year, from March to May, the BCS Cadets program emphasis is on preparation for the review and this parade is a highlight of the school year and a memory that alumni cherish long after they move on from Moulton Hill. If you haven't already, you'll want to check out the rehearsal footage from the last few weeks, and don't miss the Instagram reel of our 2019 review--which, until today, was our most recent.
Thank you to Col. (H) David W. Rothschild for gracing us with your time today. A major shout out to Major Gilles Nichols, Captain François Tessier, Lt.-Col. (Ret) Ernest Garbutt, Sheila Lyster (Administration) and Joe Wong (Quarter Master), and Band Masters James Benson and Sébastien Obermeir, without whom this event would not happen. Thank you also to all faculty and staff for your support and organization. Lastly, a huge congratulations to our entire corps on a job well done! As Cadet Commanding Officer Major Gavin said, you should all be extremely proud of your hard work—the May break is well deserved!
Pssst...check out our Instagram for a few pictures of today's event and keep an eye on our socials next week for more photos!
