Rhyme and time again

Ms. McGie's Form IV English class presented their poem anthologies this week.

Over the past month, our students have been working on their anthologies featuring their very own poetry and illustrations. Ms. McGie introduced her students to a variety of different types of themes and narratives to inspire their poems and works of art. Students even took a poetry workshop with Mr. Crowther, introducing apperception in poetry, where students wrote a poem based on a portrait to include in their projects. Their anthologies include haikus, cinquains, free verse poems, and blackout poems—just to name a few! For an added dramatic flair, our students presented their anthologies in front of their peers in the R. Lewis Evans Memorial Theatre this week.
