Robot takeover

Ms. Vanier and Ms. Rowell's Robotics class worked on two different projects today, both based on the film WALL·E.

Jake and Ali successfully completed the EVA challenge. The test was to build and program a robot to maneuver itself from the start to the finish along a black line, as seen in the first image below. The WALL·E challenge was the most difficult, as the android had to be programmed to move through a maze without touching the walls (hence the name) and displace a cube at the same time. Phew—these robots are putting in the work! As seen in the second image, the cube and robot had to be programmed very accurately to pass the test.
