Round the world
As part of our membership with Round Square, we often have the opportunity to send students to partnering schools or welcome students from abroad to our home on Moulton Hill.
In the middle of October, Form IV student, Victoria, said goodbye to BCS for a few months and flew to Denmark to study at Herlufsholm Skole. Founded in 1565, Herlufsholm Skole is a private school of approximately 600 students located in the city of Næstved. Victoria spoke to her peers during chapel this morning via Zoom and shared interesting facts about the school and her life on campus. Being fully immersed in the community in Denmark has enabled her to improve her Danish vocabulary and gain a new perspective on the beautiful country.
At the end of her short presentation, Round Square International Coordinator, Mrs. Gardner-Bray, opened the floor to questions. One audience member, in particular, was keen to ask, "can you come home?" The audience member was none other than Victoria's father, and Corporate and Community Relations Officer, Mr. Houston—the person who is most looking forward to Victoria's return to BCS in January.
Thank you to Victoria and Ms. Gardner-Bray for this morning's presentation!
