So far, so Goodson, BCS'81

StrawberryFrog was recently named to Inc. Magazine's 'Inc. 5000' list of Top Private Companies for the second year in a row.

BCS Association Board member, Scott Goodson, BCS'81, is the CEO and Founder of StrawberryFrog, as well as a best-selling author, investor, and mentor. His agency has worked with renowned companies such as Google, Emirates Airline, P&G, Mercedes, Walmart, and Northwell Health—just to name a few. They recently created a 60-second ad for Prudential at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and tapped poetry phenom Amanda Gorman in a spot for Truist prior to her stunning 2021 U.S. Presidential Inauguration performance. It's little wonder StrawberryFrog earned a spot on the 'Inc. 5000' list that features the top fastest-growing private companies in America.

Scott’s is a legacy family at BCS: his father, Jack, BCS’38, younger sister, Joelly, BCS’85, and eldest son, Jacoby, BCS’2020, also attended, and his niece, Finley, enters this fall. A die-hard Smith House dweller during his five years on Moulton Hill, Scott inherited his father’s passion for the arts and is responsible for many of the club and activity photos in the BCS yearbooks from that time. During the 2019-20 school year, the Goodson family unveiled The Jack Goodson Prize for creativity and innovation, designed to recognize ‘the BCS student who drives significant change, makes new ideas happen, demonstrates innovation, and is a game-changer.’

The game-changing gene runs deep in the Goodson family. StrawberryFrog attributes much of its success to its trademarked 'Movement Thinking' approach, which "draws from the principles of societal movements to galvanize people who matter inside and out." Scott and his colleague, Chip Walker, Head of Strategy at StrawberryFrog, break down the idea of ‘purpose-driven companies’ in their recently released book, Activate Brand Purpose: How to Harness the Power of Movements to Transform Your Company. Their rousing blueprint is already making waves in the industry—last week, it was at number three on the Amazon Hot New Release list and it is now available on Audible.

Read more about Scott's background, his creative inspirations, and recent work he's admired in his latest interview with Tim Nudd for Muse by Clio.
