So to speak

Our students took the podium to deliver passionate and thought-provoking speeches this week.

Our junior and senior students presented their carefully prepared speeches this week for a chance to represent BCS at the Annual Quebec Association of Independent Schools (QAIS) Public Speaking Competition. Talking to an imagined audience of their choosing, students spoke on a variety of different subjects—from a passionate plea from a smoker to quit smoking, to an introduction to new employees from Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

Our English teachers carefully judged the competition and will deliberate to determine one senior and one junior winner to represent BCS at the QAIS Public Speaking Competition later this year. Keep an eye out for the announcement of the winners next week and head to Flickr for more photos from the event.

Congratulations to all our young orators!
