Spotlight and spirit
After a busy first conference day, student delegates from across the country were back on campus today for Day 2 of the CAIS Senior School Student Leadership Conference. This morning, we began the “Spotlight on Your School” student pesentations, showcasing what makes each institution unique. This was followed by a “fireside chat” with Dianna Ros. For lunch, we travelled to the Chalet des Érables, a sugar shack in the neighbouring town of Cookshire-Eaton.
In the afternoon, we held our first leadership workshops: the “Leadership Skills Toolkit” workshop was lead by Katie Lowry, and the “How to Present” workshop was held by our Librarian, Mr. Crowther. We also begun selecting finalists for the School Spirit Innovation Projects, in which each team pitches a three-day (or more) event to enhance their school spirit.
Later tonight, delegates will regroup into pods for a quick debrief, then enjoy the evening with a bonfire and S’mores!
