Time flies when you're having fun
Yesterday, Ms. Jones' Form IV students used the podcast studio to record a fun group project.
From interviews to raps, the Lord of the Flies final project had our English Language Arts class showing off their hidden talents. For most of our students, it was their first time using our podcast studio and they were eager to explore the mixing board and audio software possibilities. "The students were very enthusiastic about choosing a creative way to share their understanding of the novel," expressed Ms. Jones. "They found creative ways to share their interpretation of the last three chapters of William Golding's Lord of the Flies."
After an introduction to the software, each group had ten minutes in the podcast studio to record the final projects they had prepared. Aglaée, Emma A., and Sara Sofia recorded an interview where they discussed the major events from the point of view of the characters, while Paul F. and Iwo discussed the meaning of each chapter. Christophe, Ximena, Evan, Sky W., and Janie chose to interpret the last three chapters of the novel into a rap called "Lord of the Trap." Each verse represents a summary of the final chapters.
