About the CSSHL:

Founded in 2009 by five Hockey Canada Accredited Schools, the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) was created to support elite student-athletes by combining high-level competition with skill development and academic focus. Since its inaugural season with just eight teams, the league has grown significantly to include 38 accredited schools and 129 teams across eight divisions by 2025–26. All programs meet strict national and regional standards, and the CSSHL remains committed to leading education-based hockey in North America while promoting sportsmanship, citizenship, academic excellence, and athletic development.
