Wholesome wellness week
This week, the Positive Change Committee (PCC) spearheaded Wellness Week, featuring a range of surprises aimed to promote wellness among our community.
On Monday, students were allowed to dress down, and Tuesday was designated a cozy day where everyone could wear their favourite sweater over their uniform. On Wednesday, our counsellor, Mrs. Marie-Noëlle, set up a wellness display in the Student Centre, and students received a brown paper bag filled with goodies and wellness tips that were prepared by the PCC. Today, students were permitted to sleep in a little longer, with classes only starting during Period 2, and it was a ‘bottom only’ dress-down day. In addition to this, the Admissions Team organized a break-time treat consisting of warm apple cider and donuts. Throughout the week, the library has featured a book display focusing on topics such as mental health, self-care, and wellness. To cap things off, tomorrow will be a pyjama day AND there will be no chapel!
Mrs. Lowry announced the last surprise in her email to the community with a note: "I hope everyone has enjoyed their week and it has reminded you to slow down and take care of yourself, and that you are appreciated!" Thank you to the PCC, along with Mr. McCormick and Mrs. Lowry, for organizing this week of wellbeing.
