You know the drill

This morning's fire drill was a great opportunity to practise our emergency preparedness!

The health and well-being of our community is our top priority and obviously includes safety. That's why we hold drills and information sessions throughout the year to keep students and employees informed of emergency procedures. While our first fire drill took place at the beginning of October and was announced to the full community, today's drill was known only to faculty and staff. After a few short minutes of taking attendance, Mr. Merritt, Director of Student Life, congratulated everyone on their composure and timeliness. Students quickly went back inside to class.

We don't often share stories about the planning and training involved in keeping our students safe because, let’s face it, Halloween costume parades are far more fun and glamorous! But, rest assured, we are unequivocally committed to keeping Moulton Hill prepared for any emergency, from our three fire drills and annual lockdown procedure training to our campus-wide building access system and dedicated campus security—not to mention the brand-new generators that were installed last year, thanks to generous donors.

As always, safety-related information can be accessed through the BCS Safe app. This free app features emergency contacts, health resources, a virtual walk home system, and alerts from our BCS Security. All students are required to download it and parents are encouraged to do the same.
