Speak your mind

Feb. 14, 2017 | Yesterday, four BCS students took part in the first round of the Annual Rotary District 7850 speech contest.
Rotary District 7850 consists of 42 Rotary Clubs located in Northern Vermont, Northern New Hampshire, and Southern Quebec. The public speaking contest consists of four rounds where each contestant must prepare and deliver a five-minute speech related to one of the themes and associated challenges. Last year, which marked BCS' return to the regional competition for the first time in over 15 years, then-Form IV student Ivannia G. won every round and was crowned the overall winner. Continuing that success, she again took home first place honours yesterday - along with the door prize of a tablet. Fellow contestants Jessica P. and Emma Bea C. came in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
Best of luck to all our contestants in the next rounds!
